Hey, I really enjoyed your game – great fun! Some feedback:
When you sell an item, it always sells the first one you bought. Most of the time, that's actually a drawback. You should be able to choose which item to sell (or maybe I just didn’t figure out how to do that?).
Adding new tokens to the grid (like blood, healing, etc.) usually weakens your build, since it reduces your chances of pulling off big combos. The best strategy often seems to be just focusing on the base magic tokens.
I managed to reach around wave 45 using the item that deals damage equal to 5x your healing, combined with the one that heals you at the start of the run based on a percentage of your max health. I haven’t found another build that gets that far. Regardless of your build, some items feel mandatory (like the one that increases your max health after each battle, for example).
Also, losing your turn because of a misclick that swaps tokens without triggering a combo feels frustrating.
Other than that, really cool game – thanks for making it!
[EDIT] Also, what does Luck do ? I feel like it increases chance of chaining combo.
Need a way of disposing of equipment you no longer want/need. Once I filled everything up it was just grinding from there on, no improvements.
Also, if you buy everything and try to refresh, you spend the money but nothing happens. If the intent is to not let you buy more than three items (which is fine) then the refresh button should be disabled.
Hit a pretty broken combo: Healers Kit, Hollow Heart, Angel Tear, Heart Amulet. Max life near 700, healing over 200 after each battle.
Yeap, you got the Healing build, its pretty good in early-mid game, however in lategame if you don't get the Heart of Thorns (for each healing amount, deals x5 damage to an enemy) you have no damage. I think this build is totally fine for now.
Checkout the Cursed build: ice, poisons, and blood elements supported by Necronomicon (applying status effects now doubled, but damages from other sources will deal 25% less), Dark Ring (increases damage to 10% to an enemy for each status effect stack on it), and Mark of the Sadist (increases status effect damage to 100%).
There are lot's of other builds, and again, thanks for playing the game!
